With 20 years dedicated to sustainability in the built environment, James is a seasoned expert. His career includes leadership roles like Head of Sustainability at Inspired Villages and current work through his consultancy, The Sustainability Business Ltd. He offers a comprehensive understanding of the field, honed through experience as a Non-Executive Director at Sustainability West Midlands, and representing the construction industry in the Innovation Alliance Low Carbon Working Group. He has worked on a number of highly sustainable projects, including net zero carbon and Passivhaus, and brings both the developer and operators’ perspective. He is also a recognised authority on social value, contributing an expert chapter to the academic text ‘Social Value in Practice’.
