Dominic Hailey
Director
ColladoCollins Architect

Dominic leads the Later Living and Care teams at ColladoCollins and has worked in architectural practice since 2001. For over 15 years he has been researching, designing, and building communities for older people both in the charitable sector and with private developer / operators, with a focus on the lived experience of the people that use the buildings. In 2019 Dominic co-authored the publication 'Just Living' which is an in-depth review of the experience of older people when making housing choices in later life and of the opportunities and pitfalls of bringing forward housing for older people, arguing for a person-centric approach to the sector. The research and findings have been presented at a number of conferences and events, including convening one of the first full panels of older people to take the stage at the Property Week Retirement Living Conference in 2019.

Working with established clients like Retirement Villages Group, Elysian Residences, and Riverstone, as well as new entrants into the sector, Dominic brings his expertise and enthusiasm to bear to help create Retirement Communities that are genuinely integrated into their setting and which consider the present and future needs of their occupants.
