Martyn Craddock is the Chief Executive of United St. Saviour’s Charity, an historic organisation in the London Borough of Southwark which is at the forefront of reimagining what later life living looks like in the social housing sector. With a career rooted in the food industry, Martyn has robust experience seeing community charities through transformation. Martyn has steered United St. Saviour’s through significant change, bringing improvements to its community grant making programmes, the governance and leadership, and its financial strength. Most recently, he has been instrumental in the high-profile and pioneering development of Appleby Blue Almshouse in Bermondsey. The widely acclaimed Appleby Blue exemplifies Martyn's commitment to modernising social housing for older people in cities through good design, community engagement, research and the power of food. Martyn holds an MSc in Charity Accounting and Financial Management and chairs both TreeHouse School and Dulwich Almshouse Charity. He is passionate about Southwark and its people, buildings and history, and is often cycling and running around its wonderfully diverse neighbourhoods in all weathers.
